Український фактор у феномені лісовчиків

Abstract

Короткий зміст роботи: У першій половині XVII століття лісовчики становили специфічне військове формування Речі Посполитої, діяльність якого охоплювала простори від Інфлянтів до Московії та Центральної Європи. Попри помітну роль у воєнних подіях доби, історія цього явища залишається недостатньо дослідженою, особливо в аспекті участі ролі вихідців з українських земель. Вивчення українського компоненту в середовищі лісовчиків дає змогу глибше зрозуміти соціальні й культурні процеси, що відбувалися на прикордонних теренах Речі Посполитої на початку XVII століття. Об’єктом дослідження є лісовчики як специфічне військове явище початку XVII століття. Предметом дослідження є участь українського культурно-етнічного елементу у формуванні, функціонуванні та еволюції загонів лісовчиків. Мета роботи полягає у з’ясуванні соціальних, політичних, економічних та культурних передумов залучення українців до лісовчицьких загонів, а також у реконструкції ролі цього елементу у внутрішній структурі й бойовій діяльності лісовчиків. Робота передбачає розв’язання таких основних завдань:  узагальнити стан наукового вивчення проблеми та охарактеризувати джерельну базу дослідження;  простежити процес формування лісовчиків і визначити чинники, що зумовили їх появу в контексті військово-соціальної кризи Речі Посполитої;  проаналізувати участь лісовчиків у Московських кампаніях та Тридцятирічній війні;  дослідити підстави й механізми долучення українського етнічного компоненту до складу лісовчиків;  з’ясувати антропонімічні, географічні та лінгвістичні свідчення присутності українського елементу у цих військових формуваннях. У результаті встановлено, що український культурно-етнічний компонент відігравав помітну, хоча й не домінантну роль у формуванні соціальної та військової структури лісовчиків. Його присутність зумовлювалася як спільними військовими традиціями та типом мобільної легкої кінноти, так і соціальними процесами доби — зростанням козацтва, невдоволенням умовами служби та прагненням до матеріального й соціального самоствердження. Залучення українців до лав лісовчиків відображало ширші тенденції ранньомодерної доби — посилення мобільності населення, розмиття етнічних меж у військових спільнотах і формування нових моделей професійного воїнства. Summary of work: In the first half of the 17th century, the Lisowczycy constituted a distinctive military formation of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, whose activities spanned territories from Livonia to Muscovy and Central Europe. Despite their significant role in the military events of the period, the history of this phenomenon remains insufficiently studied, particularly regarding the participation of individuals from Ukrainian lands. Exploring the Ukrainian component within the Lisowczycy milieu allows for a deeper understanding of the social and cultural processes that took place in the borderlands of the Commonwealth at the beginning of the 17th century. The object of the research is the Lisowczycy as a specific military phenomenon of the early 17th century. The subject of the research is the participation of the Ukrainian cultural and ethnic element in the formation, functioning, and evolution of Lisowczycy units. The aim of the study is to identify the social, political, economic, and cultural prerequisites for the involvement of Ukrainians in Lisowczycy detachments, as well as to reconstruct the role of this element in the internal structure and combat activity of the Lisowczycy. The study involves addressing the following main tasks:  to summarize the state of scholarly research on the issue and characterize the source base of the study;  to trace the process of formation of the Lisowczycy and determine the factors that led to their emergence in the context of the military and social crisis of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth;  to analyze the participation of the Lisowczycy in the Muscovite campaigns and the Thirty Years’ War;  to examine the grounds and mechanisms of inclusion of the Ukrainian ethnic component within the Lisowczycy ranks;  to identify anthroponymic, geographical, and linguistic evidence of the presence of the Ukrainian element in these military formations. As a result, it has been established that the Ukrainian cultural and ethnic component played a noticeable, though not dominant, role in shaping the social and military structure of the Lisowczycy. Its presence was determined both by shared military traditions and by the type of mobile light cavalry, as well as by the social processes of the time – the rise of the Cossacks, dissatisfaction with service conditions, and the pursuit of material and social self-assertion. The involvement of Ukrainians in the Lisowczycy reflected broader early modern trends – increasing population mobility, the blurring of ethnic boundaries within military communities, and the formation of new models of professional soldiery.
