Британська авіація в битвах Першої світової війни 1914–1918 рр.

Abstract

Розвиток авіації став одним із найважливіших досягнень військової справи у ХХ ст., а Перша світова війна була ключовим етапом у формуванні повітряних сил. У дипломній роботі аналізується роль британської авіації у військових діях 1914–1918 рр., особливості її використання в різних типах операцій, а також її вплив на хід війни і військову тактику. Об’єктом дослідження є британські авіаційні підрозділи – Royal Flying Corps (RFC), Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) і Royal Air Force (RAF). Предметом дослідження є структура, організація, діяльність британських авіаційних сил і вплив авіаційних інновацій на розвиток воєнної стратегії. Мета роботи – всебічний аналіз еволюції британських військово-повітряних сил у контексті Першої світової війни, зокрема акцент на їхню роль у бойових діях, інноваціях у військовій стратегії та формуванні нових тактик. Для досягнення мети поставлені такі завдання: – вивчити стан наукового вивчення проблеми та дослідити ступінь репрезентативності та інформативності виявлених джерел; – дослідити процес формування та розвитку британських повітряних сил до і під час війни; – оцінити особливості підготовки пілотів; – розглянути роль авіації у розвідувальних операціях, протиповітряній обороні та дальніх бомбардуваннях; – дослідити внесок морської авіації у військові дії. Дослідження розкриває, як британська авіація еволюціонувала від допоміжного засобу до ключового елементу військових операцій, забезпечуючи стратегічну перевагу на фронті. Якими були основні етапи становлення британських повітряних сил, з якими труднощами довелося зіткнутися, та які результати були досягнуті по завершенню війни. Впродовж Першої світової війни літаки стали невід’ємною складовою планування та виконання фактично будь-якого завдання. Великобританія стала першою країною, яка створила окремий вид збройних сил – Королівські повітряні сили. The development of aviation was one of the most significant achievements in military affairs in the 20th century, and the First World War marked a crucial stage in the formation of air forces. This thesis examines the role of British aviation in military operations during 1914–1918, the specifics of its use in various types of operations, and its influence on the course of the war and military tactics. The object of the research is British aviation units, including the Royal Flying Corps (RFC), Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS), and Royal Air Force (RAF). The subject of the research is the structure, organization, and operations of British air forces, as well as the impact of aviation innovations on the development of military strategy. The aim of the thesis is to comprehensively analyze the evolution of British air forces within the context of the First World War, focusing on their role in combat operations, innovations in military strategy, and the formation of new tactics. To achieve this aim, the following tasks were set: - To study the state of scientific exploration of the problem and examine the representativeness and informativeness of the identified sources; - To investigate the process of formation and development of British air forces before and during the war; - To evaluate the specifics of pilot training; - To examine the role of aviation in reconnaissance operations, air defense, and strategic bombing; - To explore the contribution of naval aviation to military operations. The research reveals how British aviation evolved from a supporting tool into a key element of military operations, providing strategic advantages on the front. It identifies the main stages of the establishment of British air forces, the challenges they faced, and the results achieved by the war's end. During the First World War, aircraft became an integral part of planning and executing nearly every mission. The United Kingdom became the first country to establish a separate branch of the armed forces – the Royal Air Force.
